The Alto de La Llama is situated in the cider making region of Asturias and is on the AS258 which runs from Colunga to Villamayor.
It’s not the toughest of climbs but with a distance of 6.8km it will certainly warm up the legs. Its tree lined all the way and never really exceeds 6% gradient so you should be able to lift your head and enjoy some of the lovely views.
Once at the summit you can either head down to Villamayor on the AS 259 or turn right continuing on the AS 258 and take one of the varying options such as the road to Sietes and Villaviciosa or Infiesto.
